Linked turns on inside foot

Balance on inside stance foot, little-toe edge dexterity

  • Gentle hill
  • Skate to comfortable speed, glide straight on both feet
  • Lift outside foot
  • Tip stance foot (here, her left) toward its little-toe edge, and tip free foot (her right) toward its big-toe edge to make a turn
  • Switch stance foot gently and stop tipping momentarily in transition
  • To go the other direction, tip the new stance foot toward its little-toe edge, and tip the new free foot toward its big-toe edge.
  • Repeat to link turns
  • Keep the feet close together and the arms spread apart
