PMTS™ All-Mountain Camp at Big Sky,
Montana See important lodging and lift information! Overview The All-Mountain camp is designed for the intermediate and advanced level skier wanting to learn or improve skiing the whole mountain, whatever the conditions - bumps, powder, ungroomed, and steeps. Skiers must be comfortable skiing on advanced terrain and must have experience in ungroomed conditions to attend. (If you aren't sure about your ability, contact us!) The camp includes six hours of lessons per day. The lessons will focus on efficient technique and tactics, with sufficient practice time and personal feedback. This camp will have groups for skiers who already ski the ungroomed regularly and want to improve in it, and other groups for those skiers who have little or no experience skiing "all-mountain". Video analysis will be used. There will be a maximum of six skiers per group to ensure significant personal attention. An on-snow assessment of your alignment is part of the camp. The on-snow balance assessment will take place during the lesson hours on the first day. Any participants wishing to make changes to their equipment as a result of the assessment will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis outside of the lesson hours. In order to hold our camp at Big Sky, we must house our participants and coaches through the resort's Group Lodging program. There are several lodging options, at different prices, described in more detail below. Footbed and alignment "pre-day" If you know that you would like to have footbeds made, or if you would like the complete indoor alignment assessment, we encourage you to come to camp one day early. Because the actual camp has full days of coaching, it is very difficult to accommodate campers who would like the complete indoor alignment session during the camp days. The Sunday prior to camp will be reserved for campers. Contact us for more information, or circle the alignment pre-day option on the enrollment form. Dates March 3-7, 2008 (Monday - Friday) Lesson Times approximately 9:30 - 3:30 each day Cost $1000 ($200/day) Lift Ticket Cost TBD - Approx. $50/day Big Sky Resort is located about 1 hour south of Bozeman, Montana. There are flights to Bozeman on several major airlines. There are shuttle services to the resort for skiers who prefer not to drive. The mountain offers 4350 vertical feet of skiing, including above treeline skiing in the bowl under the tram, and it receives over 400 inches of snow each year, so we should have fantastic skiing. There are several different types of accommodation available through the group program. Once you have enrolled for the camp, you can call Big Sky directly (with our group code) to book your own reservations. Important! Lodging info below from '05-'06; new info to be posted in June/July.
