PMTS Direct Parallel® Green/Blue Camp at Solvista Basin, Colorado

Overview

This five-day ski week is designed for the green or blue level skier looking to improve technique, develop better control and balance, and work toward more difficult terrain with PMTS Direct Parallel®. The camp includes three hours of lessons per day. The lessons will focus on efficient technique, with sufficient practice time and personal feedback. Video analysis will be used to help you improve.

An assessment of your alignment is part of the camp. The on-snow balance assessment will take place during the lesson hours, while a complete indoor assessment will take place on the afternoons of the first and second days, outside of the lesson times. Any participants wishing to make changes to their equipment as a result of the assessment will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis outside of the lesson hours.

There will be a maximum of six skiers per group to ensure significant personal attention.

Group Socializing

We have one social gathering during camp. Attendance is optional, but we encourage all to come. It's a lot of fun to meet the campers who are skiing in other groups. The first evening of camp (Monday), we meet for drinks and appetizers. Dress is casual. More details will be given at camp.

Travel & Lodging Information

Solvista Basin is the perfect mountain for our Green/Blue camps. It offers gentle, open slopes for novices, steeper slopes to challenge the intermediate, superb grooming, and very little skier traffic. Many of our skiers tell us that they like to come to camp at Solvista because they can really focus on their skiing, without the distractions of a large and busy mountain.

Solvista Basin at Granby Ranch is 80 miles northwest of Denver and Denver International Airport. Transportation to and from the airport is available through shuttle services, if you prefer not to drive.

Solvista offers a variety of lodging, including hotels, motels, condominiums, and B&B’s, both at the base of the mountain, the foot of the access road, and in nearby Granby. Some options have shuttles which run to the mountain.
