Weather Contingency Plan

We will have an alternate venue available in case of inclement weather. On your enrollment form, please provide us with your contact information in Colorado on Friday, in case we need to get in touch with you (a cell phone, pager, or hotel phone number, if you are travelling here.)

Required and Optional Equipment

You must bring your regular ski boots and ski poles (we provide pole tip protectors). If you have Carvers, please bring them. You must bring a helmet (biking, inline, or skiing); wrist guards; and hard-shell knee and elbow pads. If you have concerns about falling, we highly recommend that you bring padded inline hockey shorts (available online or in specialty stores). Sturdy long pants are recommended. Also, bring a raincoat - if there is light rain we will be Carving outdoors.

Location Information

We will be Carving on an enclosed parking area within a mini-industrial mall. This area is enclosed except for one driveway, with very little traffic. It is wide open with flat areas, gentle hills and sidehills, and a good pitch on the driveway to get enough speed for working on linked turns. The asphalt is new and very smooth. It's an ideal location to learn on the Carvers.

Travel & Lodging Information

Golden is located on the west side of Denver. It's about a 30 minute drive from Denver International Airport, and it offers numerous lodging and dining options. We will provide detailed directions to our Carving location when we confirm your camp enrollment. Please contact us if you need help finding lodging.

Camp Reservations

Please print out the Camp Enrollment Form, fill out the form, and return both sheets to us via mail or fax with your deposit. We will confirm your enrollment by e-mail or phone.

To request an enrollment form, or if you have any questions about the camp, call us at (303)567-0679 or e-mail us at ask.us@harbskisystems.com.
